Why You Should Get In the Game
This is our annual service commitment season — a time for you, as a member of First Odessa, to discover your place of service for the Lord and His bride, the local church. Each of us is called to meet the needs of the body, and as we serve, we experience God’s blessings and genuine spiritual growth.
It can be easy to slip into the role of a customer in God’s house, but service transforms us into true servants in His house and brings deeper meaning to our walk with Him. Take time to read through the “Get in the Game” booklet and pray about where God is leading you to serve. Then, simply reach out to the appropriate staff minister to get started — it really is that easy to get in the game!
As we lead up to the 7th, fast, pray, and ask the Holy Spirit where He might lead you to serve. Then, join us September 7 to take the next step with others!
