Dr. Byron McWilliams has been the Sr. Pastor of First Baptist Church for over 19 years. Prior to moving his family to West Texas, he pastored two other Southern Baptist churches in Southeast Texas. Pastor Byron has been married to his high school sweetheart, Andi, for over 41 years. They have three adult children who are married to amazing spouses. Pastor Byron and Andi also have one incredible grandchild and two more on the way. They are super excited for this special time in their lives!

In his Southern Baptist service, Dr. McWilliams has been honored to serve as a trustee of the International Mission Board for eight years. He is a two-time past president of the Southern Baptist of Texas Convention. He currently is serving in his second year as a trustee on the SBC Executive Committee.

Pastor Byron is as excited about ministry today as ever. He is a lifelong learner, an avid reader, and has a strong passion for expository preaching. He believes fully in the inerrancy of Scripture and that Jesus Christ is the only hope for humanity.
